The Nocturnals

Whose verdict is early 9-to-5 life?
Some fool for whom morning the best of times,
If not twice but once worry he about my race,
A secular one even sun prepares our awakening,
Heeding homage to the likes of unique us.

What to them who proudly tags us lazy
Aren’t they aware we the children of hades,
Reigning in the glory of serene darkness
Only street dogs bark to cheer us.

Accuse not us of crimes committed in dark,
Damn those do it in attire of innocent black,
Huge empires built under our room bulbs
Raising war against moody sun for his late betrayal.
