Old Lady's Nightmare
The last nightmare haunted me like an enlivened tragedy
It was a black hole that sucked all my serenity,
Uprooted and unearthed it all dead brutal memories
Find myself dragged in those dark alleys of past again,
Tears rolled out in these peaceful times,
Thought I erased my shattered youth
Where his shadow loomed heavily on my body.
Said he, “You prosper out of me
Not a penny you earn, serve me”
A Lady I was of no monetary worth,
Nor was I born in a silver cradle.
His words verdict and eyes demanding,
Chains of his whims carved my life’s path,
Tears, my companions in his absence.
To think of that monster altruistic now,
When he no more and I gracefully aged old,
Thanking not God but my vengeance that poisoned him.
